The Creative Team of Pastoral

 

Pastoral will be created by a carefully selected team of experienced artists and technicians who have helped in the creation of some of the most successful and cherished films of the past 20 years. Our team is currently being assembled, and we will add people as they join the creative team for Pastoral.

 

Max Howard - Executive Producer

Max Howard

 

 

Max Howard created and ran studios for Disney in London, Paris, Orlando and Los Angeles, working on some of Disney’s most memorable films including Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and The Lion King. As President of Warner Bros Feature Animation he oversaw such hit movies as The Iron Giant and Space Jam. At DreamWorks, he was co-executive producer for Spirit, Stallion of the Cimarron.

Throughout his illustrious animation career, Max Howard has worked with UNICEF to bring health and social messages to developing countries in Africa, the Caribbean and South America through the use of animation, underscoring the important role this medium can bring to overcome ethnic and social prejudices.

 

Max Howard is currently producing a series of animated feature films for Exodus Film Group. The company’s first production, Igor was released in 2008.

Max is a sought after consultant and lecturer for the animation industry, working with companies and organizations from all around the world. He is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences and the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.

 

   

 

Jay Shindell - Writer/Director

 

Jay started his feature film career with the Walt Disney Studios, where his artwork has graced beloved animated features such as Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Tarzan, Hercules and Mulan. From there Jay went to Warner Bros to animate on the classic The Iron Giant. After a stint in the story department of MTV Animation, Jay went to Industrial Light and Magic, adding visual magic to such films as A.I., Minority Report, Jurassic Park III, and Star Wars Episode 2, and since has added his magical touch to such films as Spiderman 2 and 3, Monster House, I Robot, and many more. Jay was then invited to join the team at Melwood Pictures as a creative executive, where he helped to develop an animated feature, and IMAX film, and numerous live action films and television projects. Jay recently wrapped production as associate producer on a live action adventure film, Without Borders, and is currently producing an animated sci-fi feature film, and writing the pilot for a children's television series. But closest to Jay’s heart is San Souci Films, which he founded to create and produce high quality independent feature films. It is under the San Souci banner that Pastoral will be produced.
